Static model steam engine and boiler
Martin Baylis spent many years working for and with Marten Howes and Baylis, his father being one of the original founding partners. Martin was primarily concerned with the design, manufacture, and assembly of their range of model boat steam engines and marine model steam engines and boilers. Consequently, he acquired a wealth of experience in miniature marine model steam engine design and manufacture.

Martin Baylis Engineering has been formed with a view to producing a range of miniature model marine steam plants that resemble the compound, triple expansion engine and boiler combinations of the late Victorian and Edwardian period. These provide the model maker with a range of powerful, efficient and flexible steam plants which have an elegant and authentic appearance.
